Fluvial Environments and Processes
At its simplest definition, "fluvial" refers to an environment found and shaped by a river. The sedimentary nature of fluvial environments results in created, destroyed, and eroded landforms and deposits unique to this environment.
This A-Level Fluvial Environments and Processes module will enable students to:
- Define the three river processes
- Identify the different types of river landforms
- List several causes of flooding, and
- Explain river management strategies to avoid flooding.
