Energy Management
Energy resources are all forms of fuel used in the modern world for a variety of purposes. These fuels can be used for heating, the generation of electrical energy, or for other forms of energy conversion processes. Energy sources can be classified in different ways, and their use varies widely. In particular, these can be classified into two categories: renewable and non-renewable.
This A-Level Energy Management module will enable students to:
- Know the difference between renewable and non-renewable resources
- Describe the situations that lead to energy security and energy insecurity
- Have an understanding of how the energy supply is distributed globally
- Identify the different reasons for increasing energy consumption
- Identify the factors that affect the supply of energy
- Understand the implications of energy consumption, production, and demand on the environment
- Understand the importance of renewable energy alternatives and the management of sustainable energy resources.
