Natural Hazards: Introduction

Since the Earth is dynamic, it is a known fact that natural events or phenomena happen. But these are not always considered “hazardous” especially if they occur in areas where there are no inhabitants. However, one will have to accept that technological developments and rapid population growth have made humans more vulnerable to natural hazards.

This GCSE Natural Hazards module introduces natural hazards to your students, explaining:

  • What are natural hazards
  • What is hazard risk
  • What are the different types of natural hazards
  • What factors affect hazard risks
